God Forbid Women Have Hobbies Shirt | Salem Witch 1692 Halloween Tee

Four words, several centuries of attitude. The women have hobbies shirt takes the driest possible reading of the Salem trials and prints it where everyone can see, pairing sarcasm with 1692 witch imagery for the one month a year when that is considered normal outerwear. Spooky season has a uniform, and this is it.

Why This Slogan Hits

The joke works because it is barely a joke. The Salem witch trials of 1692 punished women for reading, gathering, healing and generally having interests, and putting that on a tee collapses three hundred years of it into one exhausted sigh. This women have hobbies shirt lands somewhere between a history lesson and an eye roll, which is precisely why it keeps selling every October.

Who This Shirt Is For

• Halloween parties where the costume is a slogan and a good coat.
• Witchy, tarot and crystal shop regulars who will get it instantly.
• Gifting for the friend with strong opinions and stronger coffee.
• Salem trips, ghost tours and October weekends in New England.

Fabric and Fit

The women have hobbies shirt is printed on a unisex softstyle tee made from 100% ring-spun cotton at 4.5 oz per square yard, with shoulder-to-shoulder taping and a quarter-turned body so nothing creases down the middle. All Heather colours are 65% polyester and 35% cotton. Sizes run S through 3XL, and more seasonal designs sit in our holiday and seasonal shirts collection.

Printed On Demand

Each women have hobbies shirt is made to order after you buy, so delivery takes a little longer but nothing is printed into a warehouse on a guess. Producing on demand rather than in bulk cuts overproduction, and you can browse our full collection of funny slogan tees while you wait.

FAQ

What does the 1692 on this shirt refer to?

1692 is the year the Salem witch trials began in colonial Massachusetts, and it has become shorthand for the whole episode, which is why a women have hobbies shirt so often carries that date alongside the slogan.

Is this a Halloween only shirt?

Not at all. The slogan works year round, though it does most of its heavy lifting between late September and the end of October.
